WebCE® Releases Ohio-Specific Long Term Care Partnership Training Course DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WebCE, a nationwide provider of continuing education for insurance professionals, announced the release of a new training course titled Ohio Long-Term Care: Programs, Policies, and Partnerships. This course enables Ohio producers to obtain their newly mandated eight hours of study on the subject of long-term care and long-term care partnership programs. This training must be completed by September 1, 2008, in order for producers to continue selling LTC insurance in the state of Ohio. After this date, a producer cannot sell or place a LTC policy without having completed this training. In addition to qualifying as an approved long-term care training course, Ohio Long-Term Care: Programs, Policies and Partnerships has also received approval from the Ohio Department of Insurance for eight hours of CE credit. Since the passage of the Deficit Reduction Act, Ohio became one of the first states to implement a new long-term care partnership program. As part of the new program, Ohio requires that all producers who sell, solicit, or negotiate long-term care insurance in Ohio must have eight hours of training on this subject.
